I MADE $6,380.54 LAST MONTH ON MEDIUM

How Did I Do It?

Last month was tough. I wrote thirty stories each day — short stories, short fiction, or flash fiction. My process is simple. First, I let my faithful companion, Thor, choose which ones he thinks I should publish.

He’s a tricky character.

He likes stories about murder, and satirical humour, mostly. Once he’s chosen his favorites, my second reader, Leopold, culls through those Thor has shortlisted.

Usually, this brings the selection down to one or two stories. I’ll rework, edit, and fine-tune these, until each is nearly perfect. And then my final reader gives me the yea or nay with regard to publishing. Shasta is my oldest and dearest friend, according to me. Though she might see our relationship somewhat differently. And I’ll freely admit to that.

Her decisions are final.

Please enjoy these stories I’ve published on Medium, which have brought me such great earnings over the past month. We’re thinking of opening a Patreon account, so that other writers can hire the services of Thor, Leopold, and Shasta. Their collective editorial biases are unequaled, in my experience. I believe, with their help, you could be earning four figures a month on Medium, just like me.

From the hot, humid South, writing about uncomfortable truths and our present-day insanity. Voted handsomest man in Éire. Crime thriller just completed.
